In some circumstances, it may be required to delete a section from a preliminaries specification. For example to delete a particular section prior to replacing it with the corresponding section from another project or master.
To delete a section from your specification, firstly navigate into the project and into the preliminaries specification itself. You will now be viewing the main contents list:
Next, either click on the Add content button or on any of the sections displayed in the list.
You will then be viewing either the search facility or the editor screen. In either instance, the list of sections will be displayed (or can be displayed – please see note below) in the contents panel on the left of the screen.
Note: If the contents panel is not currently displayed on the left of the screen, click on the Contents button / tab located directly beneath the platform logo in the top left corner to view it.
In the contents panel on the left, locate the section to be deleted and hover the mouse cursor over it. A dustbin icon will be displayed to the right of the section code & title.
Click on the dustbin icon to delete the section, a confirmation window will then be displayed to confirm that you wish to delete the selected section.
Click Delete to permanently delete the section from your specification, this action cannot be undone. Alternatively, click Cancel to close the confirmation window with no changes being made.
