Overview
A preliminaries specification can be created by copying a whole specification from another project or master. When the source project or master was initially created the user who created it would have selected a particular form of contract. For CAWS preliminaries many of the sections and for Uniclass specifications the sections PM_55, PM_60, PM_70 & PM_80 that were added were tailored to the specific contract form selected. You should verify that the source preliminaries specification was created using the exact same form of contract that you intend to use for the new preliminaries specification. This can be done by navigating to specifications list in the source project or master, clicking on the menu button for the source specification and selecting the Edit details option. The form of contract used in the source specification will be shown in the Contract field. You should also be mindful that anyone who has (or has had) either an Administrator role on the project and/or a contributor role on the specification could potentially have deleted any of the originally added default sections for the form of contract, and substituted them with a corresponding section for a different form of contract.
In order to copy a whole preliminaries specification from another project or master folder to a destination project, the destination project will need to have been created first. You will also need to have an Administrator role on that project.
Note: Please refer to the support article How to create a new project for details on how to create a new project.
Tip: To quickly check if you have an Administrator role on the destination project: From the ‘My projects’ dashboard, find the destination project, click on theMenu button (bottom right of tile in tile view or right hand side in list view). If you see an option to ‘Edit project’ then you have an Administrator role on the project. From the Specification list in the destination project – If you see either a blue ‘Add one’ or ‘Add specification' button then you have an Administrator role on the project.
Copying Content
Firstly navigate to the Specifications / Masters list within the source project or master.
Click on the Menu button at the right-hand side of the preliminaries specification to be copied, then select Copy to.
For Pro and Premium subscriptions only, you will then be presented with a Copy specification to project pop up window:

Select the destination project in the Select project field and enter the desired title for the preliminaries specification in the destination project in the Specification title field.
Note: The Select project list displays the project code then the project title, and therefore is sorted primarily by the project code in ascending order. If the destination project cannot be located in the list, then either you do not have an Administrator role on the project or it may have a different project code than you were expecting.
