The NBS Plug-in for Autodesk Revit allows for synchronizing more properties from the specification with your model. This means you can present more information from the specification alongside your modelling data in Autodesk Revit's 'Schedules'.

If your model already has associations that can be updated with the additional parameters, you will see the message 'We now sync more parameters' when opening a specification in Autodesk Revit.

A screenshot of the message 'We now sync more parameters' shows when additional parameters can be synchronized between Chorus and the model.

Issues tab reports 'Warnings'

When the specification and Revit model already have connections but are missing additional synchronizable parameters, the message 'We now sync more parameters' will appear.

This message is informative only and can be closed. You may notice 'Warnings' in the scan report if you click the' Model' tab.

These warnings highlight which specification parameters do not match those in Revit. Clicking 'Fix' or 'Fix all' will update your model's object parameters to match those in the specification and add the newly synchronized parameters.

Background:

  • In September 2023, the specification to Autodesk Revit associations have been extended to parameters inserted into objects for:
    • NBSChorusDescription – the article or clause 'Description.
    • NBSChorusManProdURL – the supplier's product listing URL in Source or Archify.
    • NBSChorusManName – the article or clause 'Manufacturer', 'Supplied by' or 'Supplier'.
    • NBSChorusProdRef – the article or clause 'Product reference'.
    • NBSChorusCategory – the IFC identifier (the full article or clause code and title, separated by a colon).
    • NBSSchema – the version of the association schema.
  • Before this update, the parameters were inserted into objects after association:
    • NBSChorusCode
    • NBSChorusPrefix
    • NBSChorusTitle
    • NBSChorusSuffix

For more information, read our support article on Parameters inserted into objects after association.

For existing associations, the model scan will report 'Warnings' for the new properties not present in the object properties.

This is nothing to worry about. You have two options:

  1. Clicking 'Fix' or 'Fix all' will populate the new properties in the Object's Type properties.
  2. Ignore the warnings if you don't want to fill out the new properties.
