Applies to: 'Australia - SureSpec', 'Canada NMS and CMS', 'UK Uniclass work sections' and 'USA - USMS' content sets

You can add content to your specification classified by MasterFormat, NATSPEC and Uniclass, where there may be no pre-written NBS clause detail.

This support article refers to Uniclass examples. However, the same approach applies in other content sets.

How to spot a template

To identify an item in the search results that does not currently have any associated pre-written content, you will see a page icon crossed out next to the item. The Add/Plus button also has a different style for such items, and no libraries are identified for them.

To identify an item within the browse content tree that does not currently have any associated pre-written content, the Add/Plus button has a different style for such items, and no libraries are identified for them.

You can filter the search results or browse the content tree to show or hide templates using the 'Show templates' slider switch.

After selecting and adding your content to the specification, the template clauses you include will display a standard set of relevant rows for you to fill out as needed. The guidance panel will also offer suggestions for the content of these rows.

Rows may be added and / or parked if required within the clause. Please refer to the Adding and duplicating rows within the editor, or Parking unwanted information from your specification support articles, for further details on how to do this.

Uniclass only: Additionally, clauses may be added and linked into applicable rows using the All Content (formerly 'More content') feature. Please refer to the 'All content' for adding clauses from the content set and in this spec support article for further details on how to do this.

The short video (no audio) below demonstrates how to add Uniclass content where there is no NBS pre-written clause information.
