An issue has been identified with the ‘UK – CAWS’ contents, which means sections have been removed from a some number of specifications.

Issue
Sections can become removed from 'UK - CAWS' specifications due to a software issue with 'Update' notifications.
The issue was with notifications about changes to the whole section. If actioned, the update notification would remove the section clause, e.g. F10, from the specification.
Specifications affected
- This issue was introduced on 23 April 2024. The issue with 'Update' was fixed on 04 June 2024.
- It only affected specifications based on the 'UK - CAWS Preliminaries' and 'UK - CAWS Work sections' content. No other content sets were affected.
- We are contacting the specifiers who have been affected by this issue.
Next steps
We have records of the sections that are missing from the specifications affected. We are contacting the specifiers to inform of this.
We recommend re-adding the affected sections from the CAWS content set and re-authoring the clauses. If the specification was published after 23 April, it is important to check it for missing sections and republish it if necessary.
