The updates tab will notify you when articles or clauses that you have copied from a Master have been changed. As a Project specifier, you will want to know not only how the content that you are using in your specifications has been changed, but also how your Master authors are changing your Masters. Moreover, when it comes to Master changes, this will allow users to zero in on, and prioritize, the most important changes. These new additions will allow users to isolate the most pressing alterations for review and thereby save those users significant amounts of time. This article explains Master change notifications in the 'Updates' tab.
Please note:
The 'Updates' tab is available in all subscription plans. The Master change notifications and 'Priority' filter are available only in 'Premium'. Find out more about Premium.
The 'Updates' tab will enable you to see content updates for clauses that have been copied from a Master.
New filters and two new columns
This is an image of the 'Updates' tab displaying the filters for 'All updates' and 'Priority'.
You can now filter by: 'All updates', 'Master updates', and 'All updates'. You can also multi-filter updates by 'Critical', 'Important', and/or 'Editorial'. Deselecting all three will show 'All priority levels' as it did at the start.
Perhaps one of the most important changes detailed within this article is that there is now a left-most column that shows whether an update is a Master update or an All update. If it is a Master update, it is indicated with a rosette. If it is an All update, it is indicated with the platform logo. This is a critical addition to grid, as it now shows notifications from Lattira or NBS and notifications for changes made to a Master used in this specification.

Additionally, immediately to the right of that is another new column, the 'Priority' column. This column now indicates whether an update is 'Critical', 'Important', or 'Editorial'. If an article or clause has more than one update (for example, it has both an All update and a Master update), the update with the highest priority level is what is displayed.

Automatic 'Update notes' to articles and clauses marked complete or incomplete
Every time you park or unpark a clause and mark a clause as complete or incomplete, the platform automatically adds an 'Update note'. This is because the action of parking and marking as complete happens outside of the clause, so the user is unable to use the 'Save' button to 'Add an update note' manually to notify copied-to Projects/Masters. The 'Update note' is further explained in our subsequent Master change notifications articles.
