Delete a table

There are two ways to delete a table:

  1. Place the cursor after the table and select the backspace button on the keyboard
    or
Drag to select the whole table and select the backspace button or delete button on the keyboard.
  2. Save your changes using the Save button next to the clause or section title.

Note: If you drag to select the table, there is no highlight to show that the table has been selected. This is a known limitation.

Can I add a table with merged cells?

No. Whilst the customers can add tables with merged cells, we can’t support this in bundles yet.

Can I edit a table that already has merged cells?

A number of the old NBS Building tables contain merged cells:

  • You can edit the content of these old tables, but not the structure.

Where should the table title go?

If you are working with a legacy table, you can leave the title in the merged cell.

If you are creating a new table, please add the table heading and give it an appropriate heading style from the Tt guidance styles menu. We don’t yet have a specific caption style for tables and images.

Can I change the border styles?

No. The border styles are managed behind the scenes so that they are consistent across all the content.

Known limitations

  • In bundles. the Chorus table editor is restricted to simple tables - no merged cells. You cannot currently recreate any of our legacy large tables where cells span multiple columns or rows.
    • If you need to move an old table, you can use copy and paste. If you make sure all the content is selected, the table’s structure will also paste correctly.
    • If you want to edit the content of an old table, it will need to be converted into a simple table first.
  • Tables in clause values are not editable for the customers.
    • Tables in suggestions are editable for the customers.
  • There is no specific style for table captions.
  • When the whole table is selected, e.g. by click+drag, there is no highlight style.
