In preliminaries, we have an concept of amendment clauses.  

For the customers, these are single clauses that are parked by default when the section is added to a specification or master.

To make them easier to author and review, in bundles alternatives displayed differently: 

  • Clause numbers are shown by default.
  • The clauses are unparked by default. 
  • They have aimageemoji in the suffix.

Note: When the bundle is released to the customers, any clause with the park emoji in the suffix will be parked by default in customer specifications and masters.


Add an amendments clause

  1. Select the pencil icon to the right of the clause title:
    The Edit details dialog box will open. 
  2. Add the park emoji to the Suffix field.

  3. Press the Save button to save your changes and close the dialog box. 
  4. The central editor panel will update to show your changes. 


Remove an amendments clause 

Follow the steps above and delete the park emoji. 


Known limitations 

Currently: 

  • This feature is only available for CAWS UK Prelims. 
  • We don’t check that the clause is meant to be an amendments clause. If it has the park emoji in the suffix, it will be treated as an amendments clause.
