Collections have been introduced on Source to help you organise and manage your favourite products, manufacturers, literature, and case studies in any way you wish. This feature replaces the previous 'Favourites' system and allows you to create customised collections that align with your project needs.

Collections can be linked to a Chorus project or Master and can be shared with other Chorus members on your project.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Accessing Collections:

  1. Log in to your Source account using your NBS ID.
  2. Navigate to the navigation bar to find the 'Collections' page.

Step 2: Creating Collections:

  1. On the 'Collections' page, you'll see a list of your current collections.
  2. Click the "Create New Collection" button.
  3. Provide a title for your collection (limited to 100 characters).
  4. Linking to a NBS Chorus project is optional and can be done retrospectively, to add to a project first select the organisation, then the project you are collecting for.
  5. Save the new collection.

Step 3: Managing Collections:

  1. On the 'Collections' page, use sorting options to arrange collections based on your preference (e.g., Recently added, A-Z, Z-A).
  2. Each collection tile displays a preview of up to four items, and can be renamed, deleted, or duplicated as needed.

Step 4: Adding Items:

  1. Throughout Source, you'll notice a heart icon with a plus symbol. Click on this icon next to items you want to add to a collection.
  2. A purple toolbar will appear, showing the number of selected items.
  3. Click the "Add to Collection" option on the toolbar.
  4. A dialog box will open, displaying your collections.
  5. Select one or multiple collections to add the items.

A ‘Link to NBS Chorus’ option will be displayed upon clicking the 3 dots under an existing collection.

Once you have selected the Organisation and Project/Master to link it to, you then have the option to share the Collection with all users that are included within the Project/Master within Chorus. Where a Collection has been shared with a user the Collection will become available to them in Source with the following Icon:

(If a user is not a member of any Organisations, the linking option will be greyed out, informing the user that they are not part of an Organisation)

Unlinking/Editing a link within a Collection

If a Collection owner no longer wants to associate the Collection with a Chorus Project/Master, they will have the option to unlink their Collection by clicking the 3 dots > Unlink.

When a Collection is unlinked, it will no longer be visible to other users within the Project/Collection.

Currently only 1 Collection can be associated to 1 Project/Master. Should the user wish to link a Collection to more than 1, they can duplicate the Collection in Chorus and create another link.
