BIM objects are available to download via the NBS Plugin for Autodesk Revit

Downloading the plugin
You can download the NBS Plugin for Autodesk Revit from the Autodesk App Store or from NBS Source.
How to Download BIM Objects
Once you have installed the NBS Plugin for Autodesk Revit, please navigate to the NBS tab and select the BIM Library option highlighted below. -
You will then see the NBS Source Panel appear in Revit. -
Searching for objects
There are 3 ways to search for BIM objects from the NBS Source panel, which method you choose is dependent on what information you have to begin your search.
- The first method is to use the Search box at the top of the panel, this works best if you just want to search using keywords or phrases e.g. Cavity Wall Insulation or Hand Driers.
- The next is to browse by category. You can access this by either selecting the Browse BIM Objects button towards the centre of the panel. -
Or by selecting the menu icon in the top left-hand corner. -
Then selecting the BIM Catagories optionThis is great for browsing what content is available in NBS Source if you don't have a search term or manufacturer/supplier name.
- The final method is to search by Manufacturer, you can do this by selecting the menu icon in the top left-hand corner. -
Then selecting the Manufacturers option -
Adding Objects to Your Model
Once you have located the Product you wish to add, you can bring the BIM Object directly into your model by selecting the Add To Model button -
