When you publish with 'Detailed revisions', the platform publishes both the added text and deleted text from your previous version. The presentation of the added and deleted text can be controlled in the 'Stylesheet'. This article sets out the styles and how to change them.
Please note:
'Detailed revisions' are available with 'Premium'.
Uploading and managing stylsheets is restricted to 'Organization administrators'.
If you are using an existing stylesheet that was customized before July 2023, you may need to add the detailed revision styles to it. Please see Updating existing stylesheets – adding detailed revisions styles.
There are 9 styles used to present detailed revisions in the published MS Word and PDF specifications:
| List style name | Purpose |
| chorus-clause-row-none-list | Used for 'Detailed revisions'. It removes the row number for a whole article or clause rows that were deleted. Please note: This is a list style. |
| Style name | Purpose |
| chorus-compare-added | Shows text that has been added when publishing with detailed revisions. By default, the added text is blue with an underline. |
| chorus-compare-deleted | Shows text that has been deleted when publishing with ‘Detailed revisions’. By default, deleted text is red with a strikethrough. |
| chorus-compare-row | Controls the row border in the right page margin to indicate a text change when publishing with ‘Detailed revisions’. |
| chorus-compare-row-bullet | Controls the row border in the right page margin for a clause row when the clause has a bulleted list style applied. For example, some Preliminary sections have been developed to use bullets rather than numbers for clause rows. Changing this style will change the look and feel of the bullets. Sections A20 in the UK CAWS Preliminaries and PM_55 in Uniclass Preliminaries are like this. |
| chorus-compare-row-deleted | Controls the row border in the right page margin when the whole row has been deleted or parked. |
| chorus-compare-row-none | Controls the row border in the right page margin when the row is not bulleted or numbered. |
| chorus-compare-row-value-bullet-list-item | Controls the row border in the right page margin when the row value contains bulleted lists, e.g. the specifier has entered some text and styled it as a bulleted list. |
| chorus-compare-row-value-numbered-list-item | Controls the row border in the right page margin when the row value contains numbered lists, e.g. the specifier has entered some text and styled it as a numbered list. |
How to change the added and deleted styles
Out of the box, detailed revision styles are:
- Added text with ‘chorus-compare-added’ is presented in blue with an underline.
- Deleted text with ‘chorus-compare-deleted’ is presented in (
red with a strikethrough). - A border is added in the right-hand margin. The border helps to spot single-word or character differences as you scan down the published specification.
You can change the added, deleted and border styles to match your company branding.
