Note: For CAWS, all the legacy clause and row guidance currently sits directly below the clause title in the guidance panel. Any guidance for a specific row can now be moved into the space for that row. See below for more on row guidance.


Edit clause guidance

Guidance that is relevant for the whole clause is added against the clause title in the guidance panel.

  1. Open the clause in the centre editing panel.
    Any existing clause guidance will show in the Guidance panel on the right hand side.
  2. In the centre editing panel, select the clause.
    This will check out the clause exclusively to you.
  3. For guidance that applies to the whole clause, add it in the area immediately below the clause title in the guidance panel.
  4. Make any changes you need.
  5. To see how your changes will look to the customers, switch to Preview mode using the slider at the top of the guidance panel.
  6. Save your changes using the centre editing panel. Select Save button next to the clause title.

Edit row guidance

Guidance that is relevant for a row is added directly against that row in the guidance panel.

Below the clause-level guidance, a guidance heading is automatic added for every row in the clause.

  1. Open the clause in the centre editing panel.
    Any existing clause guidance will show in the Guidance panel on the right hand side.
  2. In the centre editing panel, select the clause.
    This will check out the clause exclusively to you.
  3. Select a row in the editor. The guidance will sync to show the guidance for that row.
  4. Make any changes you need.
  5. To see how your changes will look to the customers, switch to Preview mode using the slider at the top of the guidance panel.
  6. Save your changes using the centre editing panel. Select Save button next to the clause title.

  1. Any guidance with unsaved changes will show a blue line is shown to the right of the unsaved content:
