Short answer: You must select and check out a clause in the specification editor before pasting your product. Products cannot be pasted anywhere else in Chorus.
Background:
You can copy links to products in Source and paste them into articles and clauses in your specification. Source will tell you which clause(s) the product is intended to go. Make sure you have a clause in your Chorus specification before pasting.
Your steps are:
- Find the product you want to add to your spec.
- Add a clause for the product to go into.
- NBS Source will offer a related clause and give you the classification. See Primary & Secondary classifications
- However you can add a Source product to any clause in Chorus.
- Open the clause in the Chorus editor.
- Click on the clause to check it out for editing.
- Paste the clause using rhe keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+V on Windows, Cmd+V on macOS).
