You can mark clauses as complete to make it easy to track the progress with a specification. This article explains what happens to content set update notifications for clauses marked as complete.

Updates tab shows completed clauses
The 'Updates' tab will display the status of clauses in the 'Complete' column.

Actioning updates for completed clauses
Click on the clause title to open a preview of how the clause has been changed by the content set update. Previewing lets you decide whether the proposed changes should be incorporated into your specification.
To update the completed item, mark the clause as incomplete by clicking on the completed icon (green tick) in the top left-hand corner of the preview window.
Top tip: In most cases applying an update to a clause will require the clause to be edited further. So, before clicking the update buttons, click on the 'View in editor'. This will open that clause in a new browser tab. Then click the update buttons to apply the update. When you are ready to edit the clause, the clause will be waiting for you in the new browser tab.
To update and make further edits to a completed clause, we recommend following these steps:
- Open the clause in the Update preview.
- Decide whether the changes should be incorporated into the specification.
If they should be incorporated in the specification: - Click the 'View in editor' button to open the clause in a separate browser tab (let's refer to this as Tab 2).
- Click the completed icon (green tick) to mark the clause as incomplete. This will enable the update buttons.
- Click the appropriate update button for your clause. This will close the Update preview and take you back to the Update grid.
- Click on Tab 2, and make the necessary changes to the clause. Save your changes and mark the clause as complete.
Note: If there were guidance changes, you may need to refresh Tab 2 to see the latest guidance. - Close Tab 2.
