'Org notes' enable you to record best practices and lessons learnt from previous projects. The information is visible only to users within your organization ('Org users'). Once written, an 'Org note' can be viewed across all new projects and masters.

With 'Org notes' you can:

  • Capture important information from previous projects.
  • Share this with your team across all current and future projects and masters.
  • Edit and delete 'Org notes' you have entered.
  • Org notes are displayed in a panel alongside articles and clauses in the spec editor.
  • All your org notes are visible in one place.

Please note:
Org notes are available with 'Pro' (and above).
'Organization users' can view 'Org notes'.
Adding and editing org notes is restricted to 'Organization administrators'.

'Org notes' are stored in the context of the content set and are recorded either against the whole article/ clause or section/ system.

When 'Org notes' are entered for an item in the content set (whether it is an article/ clause/ section/ system), the platform will display those notes everywhere. This means every project or master, current or future, will show the org note.

Adding and managing org notes is restricted to organization administrators. Any organization administrator can create an 'Org note' or edit an existing org note. 'Org notes' are visible to all regular org users as read-only. Guests cannot see org notes.

'Org notes' are visible within the specification editor and are not published with the specification.
