Source contains rich product data templates (PDT) for construction manufacturers' products. Manufacturers offer their products with properties and options for the specifier to choose from. In some situations, the options differ depending on your desired properties. These are known as 'Variants'.

Overview of variants

Variants allow you to specify the product to a lower level of granularity.

For example, 'ELFOEnergy STORM EVO - WSAN-YES' is an air source inverter heat pump . It is offered in several sizes. The size you specify changes things like the coefficient of performance and the heating and cooling outputs. Source surfaces this information so you can select the correct properties to meet your performance requirements.
