Please note: we only support the plugin again the latest 3 version of Revit. It is also recommended users to update the plugin to the latest version if not already (download from NBS Plug-in for Autodesk Revit – NBS National BIM Library).


To test the plugin:


  1. Load up Revit and create/load in a model.
  2. Click on the NBS tab on the top right of the tab bar.
  3. Make sure the correct NBS Product is selected under Specification Features (e.g. NBS Chorus, NBS Create etc)
  4. Click on the Support tab and then "Sign into NBS Plugin".
  5. Enter your NBS ID and click to sign in.
    - it should take you back into the Revit model to continue as normal.


Running the Diagnostics


You can further test the plugin by running a Diagnostics button - this is for the customers to see if the plugin is working fine, and we have created the following article on the process and any faults they encounter: Username and password is not recognised when you sign in to your NBS user account via the NBS Plugin for Autodesk Revit | NBS. To get to this:


  1. In the NBS tab, click on Support > About.
  2. A window will pop up
    - click on the Diagnostics button.
  3. Another window will pop up
    - click on Run Tests to see if anything fails
  4. If anything does fail, review the article above.
    - Hovering over the red x will show a toast on what the issue is.
