Update 14th May 2020 11:30 UTC: These issues have been resolved and the functionality has been re-enabled.
An issue has been identified in Chorus which causes the published specification to display UNCHANGED instead of REVISED labels.
This article sets out the issue. Whilst it is being fixed NBS has temporarily disabled the compare step on all publishing routes.
This means that when you publish your spec you will not be able to compare it with a record in your publish history.
We apologise and are working hard to fix it.
We will be posting updates and answering queries on this issue in the Known issues forum. Please follow this if you want to receive update notifications.
Applies to:
- Section based content sets (Canadian CMS/NMS, UK CAWS Preliminaries and Work sections, UK Uniclass Preliminaries).
- It does not affect Australian and UK Uniclass Work Section-based specifications (which do not park and unpark whole clauses).
Issue
When you compare your spec with a previous record in the publish history the change state between parked or unparked are not resulting in the section shows as REVISED. The section is displayed as UNCHANGED.
For example, if the only change to a section is that articles or clauses have been parked or unparked the section should display a REVISED labels but it is actually reporting as UNCHANGED.
All other edits to the sections will result in the section being correctly reported as REVISED. For example, edits to articles or clauses, code and title changes, and inserting new articles and clauses - will all result in the section being displayed as REVISED.
Sections/systems which were added/deleted will show the correct ADDED/DELETED labels.
This was identified when comparing your specification was released on 9th April.

Cause
Chorus is not recording the change in state between parking and unparking articles and clauses.
How this impacts your specification
When you compare against a publish history record in which the only changes are to parking or unparking the content of the section, the section will show as UNCHANGED instead of REVISED.
The content of your specification is unaffected. This issue relates to the reporting of how the document has changed.
Publish history records that were saved since 18th February 2020, when saving to the publish history was introduced, may give inaccurate labels for sections that have changed.
We do not recommend that you compare against these records because you will get potentially inaccurate change labels in the spec.
We apologise and are working hard to fix this.
