Masters folders that you have been given permission to are presented, otherwise they are hidden. Any masters folders you have created (and therefore are the administrator of) will also be shown in the Masters tab.

If you want to add an entire spec or prelim from the masters folder to a live project, this is done via the copy functionality:

If you would like to add a selection of content from a master, this is possible too. Any shared clauses between this content selection will be copied in its entirety, maintaining these relationships and keeping the content concise.*

In the example below, I have a selection of master partitions systems that I want to use in a live project. All of these partitions systems have shared performance and execution clauses that I want to maintain in the live project. By selecting all of the systems together and adding to the job as a group, the shared relationships will copy through into the live project.*

NOTE: If you copy in content from your masters that contains shared clauses (execution clauses, performance clauses etc.) system by system or in more than one selection, the shared clauses will be added as a new instance in the destination, thus creating duplicates.

Whilst duplicates can be identified within the Spec Check report, this can be avoided in the first place by selecting the whole portion of content that share the same clauses (e.g. a selection of different partition walls or doorsets) and adding it to your new specification in one go.*

(*Uniclass based content only).
