If you have added the corresponding clause/ section to your specification

Within the specification platform, when you have clicked into clause to bring it into edit mode (also referred to as checking out the item), or clicked into a section for CMS Specifications. If the clause/ section has any associated manufacturer products which are available to specify, a blue badge will be displayed to the top right of the Product tab at the right-hand side of the Chorus window. This can save time from otherwise having to search for associated manufacturer products.

Clicking on the Products tab will then display a list of manufacture products that can be added directly from the products panel. The list can be filtered and sorted using the controls at the top of the list.

The separate support article Adding manufacturer product details directly from the Products panel provides additional information on adding a manufacturer product from this panel.

The products that are listed (example shown above) are those which have been classified in NBS Source with the same code as the clause/ section that you are currently working with. If you wish to search in NBS Source for alternative products that do not appear in the list (i.e. have not been classified with the corresponding code), you can click on the NBS Source button at the bottom of the panel. This will take you into NBS Source in a new browser tab and populate search results based on the classification for the clause/ section. The populated search however can be cleared and new search started in the normal manner if required. The separate support article Adding manufacturer product details from NBS Source provides additional information on adding a manufacturer product that you find in NBS Source.

If the clause/ section you are currently working with does not have any manufacturer products listed, a message will be displayed to this effect together with a Search on NBS Source button.

Clicking this button will take you into NBS Source in a new browser tab and populate search results based on the classification for the clause/ section. The populated search however can be cleared and new search started in the normal manner if required. The separate support article Adding manufacturer product details from NBS Source provides additional information on adding a manufacturer product that you find in NBS Source.

If you do not know the corresponding clause/ section to use in Chorus

There may be situations when you may know, or have found in NBS Source, a product that you wish to specify, but you do not know the classification (i.e. the clause/ section) within which to specify it.

Fortunately, the manufacturer product details in NBS Source include the classification(s) the product would be available to specify within.

With this information you can add the appropriate section/ clause in Chorus, then specify the product.

Within the product listing in NBS Source, navigate to the bottom of the General information section, this is where the classification details can be found.

You can use this information to find and add the appropriate clause/ section into your NBS Chorus specification.
