The content sets contain pre-written specification content for you to fill in. 'Parking' allows you to hide irrelevant specification content within the project or master.
Parking is really important for maintaining the appropriate level of information in the specification. Fill in what needs to be included, and park everything else.
- You can always unpark something that is parked.
- Depending on the content set, the numbering of subsequent articles or clauses will update when you park something.
- This applies to the Canadian CMS and NMS content sets. When you park an article or row, the following article or row number will be automatically updated.
- Parked items will not be published.

How do you identify empty values in your specification?
Empty values are rows in articles or clauses that have yet to be filled in or parked. They are gaps in your spec. Gaps are fine when you are developing a spec, but they should really be addressed before you issue it.
Using the 'Spec check report' via the Actions button when viewing your spec, you can easily find where you have empty values.
