NBS Create users may be familiar with the icons used for different clause types within the editor. When developing NBS Chorus we have tried to preserve the look and feel of many of these icons to help users as much as possible.
There are also some new icons that have been introduced in NBS Chorus and some icons that were in NBS Create but have not yet been implemented in NBS Chorus.
The table below summarises this information with a reminder of what each clause type is used for.

Activities are not available in NBS Create but the Uniclass Activities table includes “surveys, operation and maintenance and services.” As a result, some clauses that were Systems in NBS Create can now be more accurately mapped to their relevant activity in NBS Chorus. |
Activity This defines the activities to be carried out in the complex, entity or space. For example a prison complex provides a Detention activity at a high level, but can also be broken down into individual activities like exercise, sleeping, eating, working, etc. The Activities table also includes surveys, operation and maintenance and services. |

System Systems are the collection of products that go together for a reason. For a pitched roof, the rafters, lining, tiles, ceiling boards, insulation and ceiling finish comprise a system, or a low temperature hot water heating system is formed from a boiler, pipework, tank, radiators etc. A signal system for a railway has a number of components and products; and the scum removal system is part of a wastewater treatment entity. |
