CORRUPTION – BRING THE SPEC IN

Look for the following error reports that have appeared at least 3-4 times on the same day (EXCEPT FOR THE MALFORMED DISK – ONE IS ENOUGH):

  • database disk image is malformed = this will appear at the top of the line, serious corruption which require the customer to stop working on the spec and send it in immediately
  • …..at NBSSpecificationPublisher….. = issue while exporting
  • …..at NBSSpecificationData….. = issue within the specification itself, look out for the following:
  • ….._Lambda$_..... = This can appear in any line in the report, the higher it is the more serious the corruption i.e. 2nd line compared to the last line
  • …..EntitySpidered….. = failing to save the spec, not had this in a while, only 2/3 cases so fairly rare but still something to keep an eye out for
  • …..LoadEntityIntoCache….. = causing the program to crash, can appear on any line

NON-CORRUPTION

The error reports below are on the users end and don’t require the spec to be sent in, just keep an eye out if it happens quite frequently:

  • WebRequestOutput = network connection issue
  • Proxy Error = issue with the company’s proxy access to create.thenbs.com and services.thenbs.com
  • File Access = having issues accessing the file, can be a number of reasons e.g. network may have dropped, permissions issue, file may have moved etc.

NOTE: if you don’t understand the error report, forward it to either Michael Walker or Oliver Bowe. They will have a look at advised what’s the best course of action.
